The C.T. Pan Foundation’s long-standing dedication to the AJGA Taiwan Series (IPS) has achieved another major milestone! Outstanding junior golfer Bonnie Cheng (鄭以心) has shared some wonderful news: she has officially received an invitation to compete in the AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational, taking place from October 8 to October 11 at Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club in the United States!

This is not only a major milestone in Bonnie’s personal golf career, but she also makes history as the first Taiwanese player in the 26-year history of the event (dating back to 2000) to qualify for this premier invitational!

Bonnie first participated in the AJGA IPS hosted by the C.T. Pan Foundation two years ago. Over this period, she accumulated valuable Performance-Based Entry (PBE) stars, earning the eligibility to compete directly in AJGA tournaments in the U.S. during the summer. This summer, armed with the stars she earned in Taiwan, she headed to the U.S. to play in two AJGA Junior All-Star events and three AJGA Open events. Through stellar performances and rankings against fierce competition, she stood out and secured her place among the top 36 players in the 12-15 age division of the AJGA.

Bonnie’s parents shared their heartfelt gratitude: “If the C.T. Pan Foundation hadn’t been willing to bring the AJGA platform to Taiwan to open up this international pathway for our kids, it’s hard to imagine a Taiwanese child under 15 making it this far with such solid strides. The path used to be extremely difficult, but thanks to everyone’s dedication, the road is now wider and leads much further!”

This joy belongs not only to Bonnie and her family, but it is also a wonderful testament to the C.T. Pan Foundation’s ongoing mission to promote the development of junior golf in Taiwan and create international opportunities for young players.

The C.T. Pan Foundation looks forward to seeing more talented Taiwanese junior golfers bravely chase their dreams through the bridge built by the foundation!
