While more and more Taiwanese players have successfully secured golf scholarships at US universities, this does not mean it is an easy path.

This route has been promoted for many years now. Having graduated from the University of Washington myself, I feel it is incredibly important to let young players know that this path exists—to let them know they have different options.

Going to the US isn’t because it’s the easier choice; on the contrary, it is a much tougher road. You will face far more competitors there, especially among the boys.

The higher you climb, the narrower the gate becomes and the steeper the road gets, while the learning curve inevitably starts to flatten out.

I want to tell these kids: "Pressure is a privilege." Are you all ready to embrace the challenge?
